Yes we all know it was a crime but all is not lost.

Did you know that in the 60-70s it was very common to remove the sliding
sashes and retro fit this type of window  into the existing sash box frame.

SASH SMART can remove the inner fittings and utilise the existing box frames
in most cases. With a bit of carpentry wizardry we can re instate sashes
back to the original street design and even fit double glazing in them if
you prefer.

This conversion service has become very popular in London due to the cost
savings of not having to change everything and the making good often needed
around completely replaced windows. Best of all you keep an original feature
in your period home!
